Spring is here, and so is the Dandelion kombucha!
A seasonal flavour that we haven’t seen for a while, our Dandelion kombucha is ready to make it’s comeback!
As beacon for the start of spring with it’s vibrant, sunshine yellow color, Dandelions are a prolific source of fuel for so many species of insects, bees and butterflies. Abundant in their growth, they are also one of few plants that produce both nectar and pollen, so are wonderful for biodiversity!
A few years ago when I first started Zak’s Kombucha - I made an experimental brew of Dandelion kombucha. As picking enough dandelions to make a brew requires a lot of time and painstaking effort, this brew only had a very small run, sadly.
A few years later, which brings us to now, we’ve ramped up our Dandelion collecting efforts and then turned them into Dandelion honey - a wonderful and syrupy sweet Dandelion by-product - by steeping them in water. Despite it’s name and distinctive almost-honey flavour, there’s actually no honey involved! Finally we had enough dandelions to make another, even bigger batch of Dandelion booch, just in time for the start of spring!
We bottled it all last week, so it will be included in all mixed case orders, whilst stocks last!
Although bigger than our previous batch, this year’s batch is still small comparatively small to our other seasonals so is very high in demand - I suggest placing an order here and getting your hands on it ASAP so you don’t miss out!
Our first ever batch of Dandelion kombcuha, back in 2022!
All the Dandelions we have used are lovingly and carefully hand foraged!
